Education:
Hope College
Cleveland Institute of Art: ID
Personal Trajectory:
I spent my earliest years climbing mango trees in Nigeria, Africa, however, most of what I remember was growing up in Cadillac, Michigan. After attending Hope College for two years, I realized the necessity for more saturated training in art and design. Five years later, I graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art as an Industrial Designer.
The constant push for creative thinking and problem-solving, and the endless inspiration for visual and functional creativity are enough to keep me engaged in my career for years to come.
Virtues:
I will organize, label, and color-code anything, I can spend hours gift-wrapping, and I love to laugh.
Vices:
I am often-times too obsessive about things being perfect, I am a daydreamer, I have an addiction to ice cream and Thai food (separately), and I love anything competitive.
Favorite Project:
In school, drawing the urban landscape and bridges for a book on Cleveland, Ohio was my most unique project.
Most likely a result of my love for ceramics, I have an affinity for color, texture, pattern, and materials. Any project that allows me to combine that passion with my attraction to trends, objects, and consumer experiences, is a great one.
Special Interest:
One of my favorite hobbies is digging through industrial surplus warehouses, and turning my findings into furniture or industrial home accessories.
As an enthusiast for the changing seasons, I enjoy spending my extra time outside whether it’s skiing, swimming, running, or playing soccer.
