Since Yale I've been circling around a fascination with cultural ephemera (I'm talking true lost arts: Full House, gay cruising in the 20s, Currier & Ives prints) and its relevance to real issues & thought, through working with designers as a publicist, marketer and now in developing design programs.

Nerdy stuff - reading, listening to records (girl bands, sad songs for teenagers, hand claps), city parks, totally outdated technology that makes you think about what you are doing (typewriter, record player, rotary phone), going to foreign countries without any preplanning so that I am entirely surprised, petting strange dogs.
