Education:
University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA, BS, Major: Industrial Design, 1981 – 1984
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, Major: Architecture, 1979 – 1981
Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, Architectural Studies
Personal Trajectory:
From architecture to product design to experience design. From small design firms to a large corporation to an innovation consultancy. Getting to explore the breadth and value of design's role has been a challenging and gratifying journey. I don't know how or where it ends - I expect it doesn't.
Virtues:
Ruthlessly optimistic.
Vices:
Vaccinated with a Victrola needle. I'm told I talk . . . a lot.
Favorite Project:
Our lake house in Maine. Since 1998, this is the project that never ends. Much of my day at work consists of meetings and paper pushing. Working on something you love and actually seeing the results of your hard work is a great feeling.
Special Interest:
Traveling in India, Chris Craft wooden boats, classic BMW's (only the good ones) and anything Apple makes. What can I say - I guess I'm vacuous and style driven.
