Adam Casey - Senior Electrical Engineer - boston

Education:
B.S., Electrical Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY

Personal Trajectory:
As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be an engineer— before I even knew that "engineer" was the word for it. I was a "nerd" from day one. I would wake up in the middle of the night when I was 3 years old so I could build my Lincoln Log buildings without the threat of my brother tearing them down (which would inevitably happen in the morning). After designing the analog audio hardware, digital audio hardware, and finally embedded software for multimedia and home theater systems at Boston Acoustics for four years, I arrived here at Continuum. Here, I continue to make sure everything happens correctly and on-time; the mantra of the embedded programmer. I told you I was a nerd—Engineers Rule The World, my friends. Now in addition to banging on a keyboard all day, I have the opportunity to manage other embedded engineers, and to help them Rule The World.

Virtues:
Every day is another day filled with excitement and difficulty!

Vices:
Heavy Metal. Playing old school Dungeons and Dragons with other nerds. Drinking wine from a box while listening to old school heavy metal and playing Dungeons and Dragons. Listen to my wife call me and my friends 'nerds' while we play Dungeons and Dragons and listen to heavy metal. (I know in my heart she means it as a compliment!)
