010. nTAG Interactive  -  nTAG Interactive Event Data Management System

Hello, my name is nTAG

The business and meetings industry generates $168 billion annually.
Until now, event stakeholders have relied on the paper nametag as their primary means to facilitate networking and generate value.  Meanwhile, meeting organizers and exhibitors have been struggling to measure effectiveness and ROI, while making every effort to maximize results for their attendees.  Enter the nTAG Wave badge.  nTAG Interactive is the premier provider of real-time event data management and has pioneered technological breakthroughs in social networking and collaborative learning by applying these innovations to the corporate world.

Built around the first interactive name badge, the nTAG system provides advanced tools for targeted networking, session interactivity, and lead generation.  Our integrated team was driven to make the new device smaller, lighter, and sexier -- as well as house the event industry’s most innovative social networking technology.

Continuum conducted research to understand the event experience from three perspectives: the organizers, the exhibitors, and the attendees.  Key observations about event setup, teardown, and social-networking patterns gave us the insight needed to identify mature solutions for the second generation tag.

The Generation 2 nTAG Wave badge consists of a refined outer-housing and utilizes a vibrant color OLED capable of displaying eye-catching graphics and easy to read text.  A consummate example of technological convergence, nTAG Wave badges use both IR and 2.4GHz RF to communicate with each other and the back-end nTAG system.  We developed a custom RF network that allows a high density of users to receive images, send and receive messages, talk to the nTAG server, and co-exist with present wireless systems.

In terms of technological innovation, the badge is unmatched in its ability to encourage face-to-face networking by allowing attendees to exchange business cards electronically, play networking games, and even lookup and locate attendees they want to meet.

The entire system allows all event stakeholders to increase the value of events - on site and in real-time.  nTAG Wave badges have been used at events for IBM, Procter and Gamble, Lucent, WellPoint, MasterCard, General Electric, Johnson and Johnson, and many others.
