Oster asked Continuuum to create the best blender in the world, and to help re-establish a position of product leadership for the Oster brand.
Continuum assembled an interdisciplinary team of strategists, designers, and engineers that conducted exhaustive user research into blending habits all over the U.S. This research led Continuum to the user interaction solution of a unique, results-oriented interface design that lets the user repeat appropriate blending routines with perfect reliability.
The In2itive knows what to do users simply add ingredients, select a results-based cycle (e.g., "baby food" or "salsa") and press start. The In2itive runs a pre-programmed routine unique to each cycle, and audibly signals to let the user know when the cycle is complete. The Oster In2itive precisely delivers desired results while eliminating guesswork. In addition to the new interface design, a low profile motor housing makes for a smaller, less bulky appliance on the countertop, and the polycarbonate vessel is scratch resistant yet lighter than glass.
