Brand Strategy: We listened to the client

Continuum helped hearing aid retailer Amplifon redesign its hearing assessment software to make it more effective for both the acoustician and the customer.
Amplifon, one of the largest hearing aid solution retailers in Europe, recognized that its brand, its service offering and its store design needed an extensive refresh. In addition to providing support in these areas, Continuum redesigned the AmpliFIT proprietary hearing assessment software to support the new brand and make it a more effective tool for both the acoustician and the customer.

The concept behind the software was to complement traditional hearing tests by providing the acoustician with a software tool to personalize the hearing solution to the customer’s lifestyle using multimedia content recorded in real environments.
The AmpliFIT software then allows the customer to experience their hearing loss both acoustically and as a graphic display and shows them how a hearing aid solution will help them.

We translated our research insights and selected design directions into an integrated system that is made up of the AmpliFIT software, a proprietary hardware component, and the physical space where the customer is tested.

System improvements:

  •  more intuitive UI layout helps make sessions more efficient
  •  more consistent recording protocol for creating the multimedia content
  •  simplified features that are easier to use and understand
  •  scalable architecture for easy upgrades
